to this storm here that will bring light scattered showers over northern california all the way down into mendocino county. again, could bring a very light sprinkle over parts of the north bay. it looks like later today into the evening hours. the rest of us dry conditions in the forecast, seasonal temperatures. for your tuesday by tomorrow night, though, changes are coming. take a look here. we get through monday, we are atry for the most part, by monday night into tuesday, the storm begins to move a little bit farther south but we're still looking good. tomorrow morning we're dealing with mostly sunny skies. we could -- mostly cloudy skies. we could have some drizzle. maybe a few sprinkles over the north bay but this system will hold off into the afternoon. by late afternoon into the early evening, it's sliding across the bay area. we wake up wednesday morning we begin to dry out. we do have a few scattered showers wednesday morning but then wednesday morning before the big travel day onwards. by wednesday afternoon we're looking pretty good and thanksgiving day also looking good.

for travelers from northern california all the way to the pacific northwest. we're talking about what's going to feel like in a sense a hurricane, but it is really a winter storm, a massive one coming in. heavy rain, strong winds, and a lot of rain out of this system. you can see in the next 24 hours, the rain continues to stream in, and not just one to two inches of rain. we're talking about double digit amounts of rain, anywhere from 5 to 12 inches of rain, snowfall 8 plus in the cascade, inner mountain region. we have winter storm warnings, high wind warnings, flood watches, high wind watches stretching northern california to the pacific northwest, and it is going to continue right into the middle of the week, and it is going to be a mess both for airports and roads as well. matt? >> al, thank you very much. >>> the president is traveling overseas to start the week, but hoping democrats and republicans back in washington are hard at work on a compromise to avoid the looming fiscal cliff. so what's at stake if they can't? jim cramer, hose of "mad money" joins us. nice to see you. usa today

is highlighting the bigger weather story. we have some moisture in northern california right now. clouds north of the golden gate bridge. this system will continue to say its way south into the bay area. 3:00 p.m. on tuesday we could pick up some light rain for palo lama and as far as napa. we will continue to see the system grow in intensity by 9:00 p.m. tuesday night. dll on the screen indicates moderate to heavy rain and it will continue to sag in march its way south in the overnight hours. waking up wednesday morning for those of you do have to have to work light rain through the heart of the bay area. the good news is it will start to clear out as we head into the afternoon. 7 day around the bay forecast shows a 10 percent chance of some light rain thanksgiving morning. sunshine will prevail until the afternoon and will be a dry one into the friday. saturday and sunday into the weekend temperatures will be in the upper 60s for your afternoon high. upper '40's low 50s for your overnight lows. 7:17 a.m. and we are on to traffic. >> we continue to monitor a slower ride on the bay bridge with
